THE WOMAN BEHIND UBU

Anne-Cathérine Ramboux (37) is the founder of interior architecture studio ACRAMBOUX, established in 2017. With a strong focus on high-end residential projects, from new constructions to renovations, design is both her passion and profession.

UBU was born from a detail in one of her interior projects, a custom-designed makeup table. While working on that piece, Anne-Cathérine created a small architectural element that immediately stood out. When she saw the finished result, she recognized its potential and felt compelled to take it further. She began sketching and developed a coffee table based on that feature. Having long searched for the perfect coffee table, something architectural, with glass and clean lines, yet softened by a warm material, she finally brought that vision to life. That design
became the very first UBU table, and the starting point of the brand.

Together with Justine Verhamme, who has been an essential part of the team since 2021, they saw the table coming to life, and knew they had to take it further. With Justine’s talent for graphic design and their shared aesthetic vision, Anne-Cathérine decided to launch UBU; a furniture brand rooted in symmetry, detail, Belgian craftsmanship, and timeless quality.

Today, UBU is more than furniture. It’s about inspiration, emotion, and creating pieces that become part of people’s lives, built to last for generations.
